Om Yoga Summer Camp

Journey of the 7 Chakras

Thursday mornings July 18 - August 29

Summer is about to kick-off and we are ready for its simple pleasures like:  peaceful mornings, sunshine, fresh cut grass between our toes, outdoor yoga, the sounds/sights/smells of nature, lingering with friends, golf, bike riding, and plenty of smiles and laughs. Plus exploring something new at Om Summer Camp.  This year, we’ll embark on The Journey of the 7 Chakras. This is our 4th year of a summer camp geared toward adults who wish to practice yoga, learn new things about it and have some good, healthy fun.

On Thursday mornings starting on July 18, yoga campers will meet in our Roscoe Village Yoga Yard to learn the language of the human energy system known as The Chakras.  With Beth as your guide and the chakras as our road map, plan on a journey toward embodied learning and self-understanding. We’ll dive deep into our inner landscape with plenty of self-compassion while enjoying being with a community of yogis on the same exploration.

Each Thursday session will be from 9am to 10:15am.  Our time together will include:  a brief embodied presentation on the Chakra of the week, mindful movement/yoga, essential oils and personal inquiry about that specific energy area.  We’ll focus on these chakras on these specific dates:

Root Chakra on July 18 — The first chakra is the root of your being and establishes deep connections with your physical body, your environment and the Earth

Sacral Chakra on July 25 — The second chakra is the center of your creativity and passion

Solar Plexus Chakra on August 1 — The third chakra reflects your willpower and ability to move forward in life with confidence and strength

Heart Chakra on August 8 — The fourth chakra relates to love for ourselves as well as compassion, forgiveness and unconditional love for others

Throat Chakra on August 15 — The fourth chakra is the center of authentic communication, conscious listening and speaking from a place of truth

Third Eye Chakra on August 22 — This chakra focuses on the liberation of the mind to move towards awakening

Crown Chakra on August 29 — This chakra offers a deep sense of connection to the divine.

Beth started her study of the chakras in Bali in the late 90’s and has found them a source for personal power, self-understanding and healing on and off the mat.  Plus, she loves a good energy organizational system!  She'll be your Camp Counselor, bringing her dynamic combination of structure and spontaneity to make this a summer experience like no other.  The Om Yoga Summer Camp enrollment fee is $210 for all sessions or $35 for a drop-in.

If you’re interested, email beth @omontherange.net to register or get answers to your questions.  Please note that camp will require 5 yogis committed to the full experience to proceed.
